Nuria Valles, our sister, daughter, aunt, and friend was an incredible fighter, a warrior for Christ, and a fiercely independent woman, who valued her independence, and stood firmly in fighting for freedom and justice.
We know she is with Jesus Christ. She loved him, accepted him, and lived for him. While we will miss her deeply, we know she is with the Lord. She wasn’t afraid to meet him. And, now she has. As she joins our beloved family up in heaven, she will continue to live in our hearts forever. This has been an incredibly hard moment for us, but we will be fine and so will she. Afterall, she is with Jesus.
Nuria has shown us what it looks like to fight! She taught us the importance of loving and serving God. And, what it looks like to be independent while always fighting for freedom and justice.
Some of us may not have fully understood her, or questioned her actions, but what we know for sure is – she lived her life to serve Jesus Christ. She never deviated from that!
As a registered Nurse, Nuria battled Lupus and Scleroderma for years. She was passionate about patient’s rights, often calling out those acting unjust. She championed animal and individual rights. Spoke out against human and animal abuses. Nuria always demanded respect, stayed true to herself, and never gave up.
This is what a strong woman looks like, a woman who we are proud to call our sister, daughter, and friend. Thank you Nuria for teaching us how to love one another, to be true to ourselves, and to show us all what it looks like to put on a brave fight.
You bravely battled Lupus and Scleroderma for over 20 years and never gave up believing in Christ despite the setbacks. You never questioned his existence despite the heartache. This is admirable. Thank you for showing us what a genuine person looks like. Thanks for the beautiful memories you have left us all with. Thank you for being our kind sister, daughter, and friend.
We will miss our days having the ultimate feast at Red Lobster, but a greater feast is being served in heaven. Yum! We are thankful for that.
We will always love you sister, daughter, and friend. We will never forget you Nuria, our angel. We will always be by your side and we know in the end you will always be next to ours.
Thank you for your love and sense of humor and for making life better. We love you eternally.
